O Projeto de Lei (PL) das Fake News, que est\u00e1 em pauta para vota\u00e7\u00e3o na C\u00e2mara dos Deputados nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (5\/2), tem gerado preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es no setor de tecnologia, principalmente no Google.\u00a0O diretor de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Governamentais e Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas da empresa no Brasil, Marcelo Lacerda, em um artigo, afirmou que o projeto pode piorar a internet no pa\u00eds e aumentar a confus\u00e3o sobre o que \u00e9 verdade ou mentira.<\/p>\n

O PL 2630\/20 tem como objetivo combater a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de not\u00edcias falsas nas redes sociais, mas a empresa argumenta que o texto atual pode trazer consequ\u00eancias indesejadas para o pa\u00eds. Uma das principais cr\u00edticas da empresa \u00e9 em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 exig\u00eancia de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o dos usu\u00e1rios nas redes sociais, o que pode comprometer a privacidade e a seguran\u00e7a dos dados dos usu\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n

Ainda de acordo com Lacerda, a empresa defendeu uma discuss\u00e3o maior do tema e impulsionou a hashtag #MaisDebatePL2630 para pressionado os deputados federais. A preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que, se o projeto for aprovado sem uma discuss\u00e3o aprofundada, a medida pode acabar aumentando a confus\u00e3o sobre o que \u00e9 verdade ou mentira, o que pode ser prejudicial para a sociedade.<\/p>\n

Outro ponto cr\u00edtico pela empresa \u00e9 a responsabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o das plataformas digitais pelo conte\u00fado publicado pelos usu\u00e1rios, o que pode gerar uma sobrecarga de responsabilidade e comprometer a liberdade de express\u00e3o na internet. \u00c9 preciso que a legisla\u00e7\u00e3o garanta equilibrar a prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra as not\u00edcias falsas com a garantia da liberdade de express\u00e3o na rede.<\/p>\n

Diante dessas preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio que os deputados federais se atentem \u00e0s consequ\u00eancias do projeto de lei e fa\u00e7am uma discuss\u00e3o mais ampla sobre o tema, buscando um equil\u00edbrio entre a prote\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade contra as not\u00edcias falsas e a garantia da privacidade e da liberdade de express\u00e3o na Internet.
