A Procuradoria-Geral da Rep\u00fablica (PGR) afirmou que a pris\u00e3o do ex-deputado federal e presidente nacional do Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB), Roberto Jefferson<\/a>, representa \u201cuma censura pr\u00e9via \u00e0 liberdade de express\u00e3o\u201d.<\/h5>\n
Augusto Aras, procurador-geral da Rep\u00fablica, publicou nota contestando a informa\u00e7\u00e3o de que o \u00f3rg\u00e3o n\u00e3o teria se manifestado sobre a pris\u00e3o de Roberto Jefferson.<\/a> Ap\u00f3s autorizar os mandados de pris\u00e3o e de busca e apreens\u00e3o, o ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), relatou, no despacho, que a PGR foi intimada no dia 5 de agosto, \u201cmas deixou o prazo transcorrer in albis\u201d<\/em>.<\/h5>\n

\u201cAo contr\u00e1rio do que apontam essas mat\u00e9rias, houve, sim manifesta\u00e7\u00e3o da PGR, no tempo oportuno, como ocorre em todos os procedimentos submetidos \u00e0 unidade\u201d, assinalou Aras, no comunicado.<\/p>\n

\u201cEm respeito ao sigilo legal, n\u00e3o ser\u00e3o disponibilizados detalhes do parecer, que foi contr\u00e1rio \u00e0 medida cautelar, a qual atinge pessoa sem prerrogativa de foro junto aos tribunais superiores. O entendimento da PGR \u00e9 que a pris\u00e3o representaria uma censura pr\u00e9via \u00e0 liberdade de express\u00e3o, o que \u00e9 vedado pela Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal\u201d, prosseguiu.<\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

O procurador-geral afirmou tamb\u00e9m que n\u00e3o contribuir\u00e1 para \u201campliar o clima de polariza\u00e7\u00e3o que, atualmente, atinge o pa\u00eds, independentemente de onde partam e de quem gere os fatos ou narrativas que alimentam os conflitos\u201d.<\/p>\n

Roberto Jefferson foi preso na manh\u00e3 desta sexta-feira (13\/8), por suposta participa\u00e7\u00e3o em organiza\u00e7\u00e3o criminosa digital montada para atacar a democracia.
